Today we started our first unit of fractions. We will be reinforcing the facts that fractions consist of EQUAL parts of either one whole unit or one group of items. The denominator is the TOTAL number of pieces and the numerator is the number of pieces you are talking about. The students liked this video for reinfrocing these concepts.
